At one time a Brahmin couple did not have children, which made them very sad. Once a Brahmin went to the forest to worship Hanumanji. There he wished a son from Mahavirji with worship.
At home his wife was also fasting on Tuesday for procreation. She used to take food only after sacrificing to Hanumanji at the end of the vows on Tuesday.
Once on the day of vows, a Brahmin could neither prepare a meal nor offer sacrifices to Hanumanji. She vowed that she would eat only after offering sacrifices to Hanumanji next Tuesday.
He was hungry and thirsty for six days. She fainted on Tuesday. Hanumanji was pleased to see their devotion and dedication. He gave a son to the Brahmin as a blessing and said that he would serve you very well.
The Brahmin was very happy after meeting the child. He named the boy Mars. Shortly after, when the Brahmin came home, he saw the child and asked who he was.
The wife said that Hanumanji was pleased with the vow on Tuesday and gave her the child. The Brahmin could not believe his wife. One day, seeing an opportunity, the Brahmin dropped the boy into the well.
Returning home, the Brahmin asked, "Where is Mars?" That's why Mars came back smiling. The Brahmin was amazed to see him back. At night Hanumanji appeared to him in a dream and said that he had given him this son.
The Brahmin was very happy to know the truth. After this the Brahmin couple started fasting every Tuesday.
The person who reads or listens to the story of the Tuesday vows, and fasts according to the rules, is liberated from all troubles by Hanumanji's grace and attains all happiness, and he becomes worthy of Hanumanji's grace.
